Caniad have been liaising with mental health wards and rehab units to organise Caniad patient groups to discuss experiences, feedback and recommendations. We now attend Ty Llywelyn, Tan-Y-Castell, Coed Celyn and are in the process of setting up more patient groups withing the other wards and rehabs across North Wales.
Caniad organised networking events during May to promote the importance of co-production and collaborative work between services. These events saw between 20-50 people attend, where the services were able to meet, discuss and promote their services.
Caniad reported the feedback around issues with transport to services, the Area Planning Board (APB) picked this up and were able to obtain funding towards transport to services. Caniad were then able to purchase Arriva bus tickets, which were allocated to APB services for their clients to have better access to their clinic, counselling and recovery groups using the bus tickets.
